Its hard to imagine this year is almost over. We have talked about storing your winter or summer gear, preparing your vehicle for long term storage and how to be prepared during an emergency. Now is the time to sit back and enjoy the hard work you have done. Family and friends should be number one during this season. Your Roslindale Self Storage family is here to help you relax this season with fun holiday festivities. Our Roslindale community is here to help you celebrate the holidays with an event for everyone.
Starting on November 26 from 3 pm to 5 pm kick off the season at the Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony. Come and enjoy the free, yes FREE hot chocolate and baked goods. The carolers from the Sacred Heart Chorus and the Christopher Mish Brass Quartet will be the musical entertainment for the night. This is the winter kick off you won’t want to miss. Kids can enjoy the art projects and dog parade among many other activities. The big man in red will arrive on the ladder 16 fire truck and light the tree with Mayor Walsh. Get some holiday shopping done before the festivities because the tree lighting ceremony will conclude Small Business Saturday. Many shops will open their doors and be there to help you find the perfect present.
The hoopla will continue on Sunday December 3rd and 4th from 11 am to 3 pm, with the Bay State Model Railroad Museum open House. This is one of the two times the museum is open to the public. So, bring the railroad enthusiasts in your family and see what wonders the museum has made.
The festivities aren’t over yet. On December 15th from 4 pm to 8 pm the holiday market will take over Birth Street. Birch Street, in the square, will close down and fill with artists, local businesses and warm treats to snack on. Stop by the tables to get special one of a kind gifts for someone special. Enjoy music and more in the Emerald Society.
With all these holiday festivities happening in our Roslindale community, you’re sure to find one you can enjoy with everyone.
